What is the Difference between Usb 2.0 and Usb 3.0
Universal serial bus or USB is the external device to computers. It is the external storage that has the most common use of data transfer. When USB 1.0 was introduced it was considered as a blessing even with the less data storage and slow data transfer features. Then come USB 2.0 and now in-use data storage is USB 3.0. Although the three devices have same function i.e. data storage and transfer but they differ in features as well as in capacity and functioning.
USB 2.0
USB 2.0 is the next version of USB 1.0. It has many advance features as compared to USB 1.0. Its data transfer rate capability is 480 Mbps. This device cannot communicate latency with the other devices while data transferring, which takes long in transferring of data.
USB 3.0
USB 3.0 is the latest version of USB 3.0 hardware. The device’s best features are its large capacity of data storage and faster transfer of data at high data rate per second. It has the storage capacity of 64 GB and the data transfer rate is 4.8 Gbps. With this high speed of data transferring, the full capacity of 64 GB USB can be written in 20 min. USB 3.0 communicates latency while transferring data, this adds into the better performance in data delivery.
USB 2.0 vs USB 3.0
Both are the different versions of the external data storage devices but have differences in the features. USB 2.0 has the data transfer rate of 480 Mbps whereas in the USB 3.0 this speed in 4.8 Gbps, means almost 10 times greater speed. The data storage capacity of USB 3.0 is also much greater than USB 2.0 and is 64 GB. The new operating systems as well as hardware are coming with special software features and special ports for USB 3.0. The latency communication feature also allows USB 3.0 to work efficiently and faster.
