What is the Difference between Hd and Full Hd
If you are a TV lover you have to thank all those companies who started manufacturing TVs better. TVs once were concave-mirror devices that relay the black and white and then colored pictures. With the passage of time, big screens came claiming better picture quality etc. in recent past, TVs have become more sophisticated and of better picture quality. In fact in the advertisements, we even see “the real picture” claims of the manufacturers. This is because of the HIGH DEFINITION technology that enables to make screen as clear and bright and beautiful as the reality is.
Hd
"HD ready" or simply HD means the television can display an image from an HD (higher definition) signal, whether it is a 1080 or 720 line format (the types of signal). However, it might not upgrade the resolution of the TV screen. Some HD ready screens are as low as 480 line i.e. the number of lines in an NTSC (North American format of signals) standard definition signal. The image quality will therefore be no better than SD (standard definition) even with an HD signal being relayed from it.
Full Hd
Full HD means that the display has 1080 lines and it can show a 1080i image at its native resolution. Some say that if it shows 1080i than it must also show 1080p signals as well. Full HD simply means that the screen is a 720 line display, or higher. As 720 line is a recognized HD format, a display that boasts 768 lines can legitimately be called full HD. So this makes it a full HD TV.
Hd vs Full Hd
Despite of the very less apparent differences in HD and FULL HD ready, but there are some other differences too. An HA will required and external turner like direct TV box or cable tv box while a FULL HD has a built-in turner. An HD ready is set up for HD relays while full HD is set up for 1080p stuff relay. HD is often of lower resolution while a full HD has higher as it supports higher line signals. Full HD is twice as good as HD Ready. HD Ready is only 720p resolution, which is 1366 x 768 pixels Full HD is1080p, which equates to 1920x1080 pixels.
