Gateway
It is a link or a way between two computer programs which allow the flow of information through it between two computers. The internet protocols are the traffic which flow on the road of gateway.
Hub
it is a computer device which is used to combine the different wires and devices of ether net and make them to work as a one unit.
Bridge
It is the filter of the computer information when the information is being transferred to a computer or shared between two computers. It also reduces the pressure on LAN by dividing it into two.
Modem
Modem is a device which is used to transfer the signal in form of codes so that they can travel easily and then to decode this signal in form of original code.
Router
Router is a device which helps to transfer the data in form of packets to its original destination. It is connected to two or more lines and read the incoming data and the desired destination and directs it accordingly.
Switch
It is a computer networking device whose main function is to connect all the network segments together.
Gateway Vs Hub Vs Bridge Vs Modem Vs Router Vs Switch
Gateway is a way to share information while hub combines different wires of ether net together. Bridge filters the information as well as controls its flow while router helps in the transport and safe delivery of this information. Switch brings together all parts of a network.
