What is the Difference between 720p, 1080i and 1080p

HDTV or high definition television is the greatest discovery of the modern age. It is called high definition because it is digital and has high resolution which was not possible in analogue television transmission. Te high definition means that the picture is clearer and we can see the clearest view on TV. Also the resolution of the picture is very high this makes it possible for the views to get the less missed signals and more clear and continuous picture. In high definition come 3 resolution technologies, 720p, 1080i and 1080p. Below is given their differences.

720P

The 720 p resolution for TV screen is the up gradation of the 480 resolution. Here 720 means the 720 lines of images sent per minute. This means the image is clearer, and faster which means the image is highly defined and there are no black cells or dots to fill in the empty space now. “p” stands for the technology method progressive, which means high clarity and better transmission.

1080I

1080i is the resolution of the TV screen which means 1080 lines per minute to fill up the screen better. Here I stand for interlaced. Interlaced is also faster image resolution.

1080P

1080p is the technology that in 1080 lines transmission per minute with progressive technology. Which means there are transmitted 1080 lines per minute on tv screen so the screen is detailed with the image in every minute detail and the transmission is faster without delay.

720 p vs 1080 I vs 1080 p

These three are the resolution technologies that have changed the television transmission forever. Once a TV that was low detailed is now high definitional. “p” is preferred over “i” because progressive is twice faster than interlaced. Therefore a lesser progressive resolution is preferred over a higher interlaced technology.
