What is the Difference between Sneakers, Cross Trainers, Running, Tennis Shoes
Shoes are very important part of our life. They protect our feet from severity of weather and give us a stylish look. We use different kind of footwear at different occasions. Party shoes are different than those we use for running. As far as athletic shoes are concerned, sneakers, trainers and running shoes are common. Although, they all are different but very few people know the difference between them. Here, we are describing differences between these shoes.
Sneakers
Sneakers and athletic shoes are two terms but used interchangeably. Sneakers are referred to those shoes which are manufactured with rubber sole and on the upper side canvas or leather material is used. Sneakers are popular all over the world, and now people use them as casual wear.
Cross Trainers
These shoes are designed for multiple uses. Many people use them for gym activities, but they are equally useful for yoga and weight lifting. They are heavy if we compare them with other shoes.
Running Shoes
As the name suggests, these shoes are manufactured especially for running. They are lighter in weight, and make quick running possible. They are smooth and provide a support in running.
Tennis shoes
Tennis shoes are slimmer than the other shoes described above. They provide support at both sides, to protect the ankles of the players. The sole of tennis shoes is very thin and very little padding is provided.
Sneakers vs Cross Trainers vs Running vs Tennis Shoes
No doubt, sneakers, cross trainers, running shoes and tennis shoes are different types of shoes, but they are different in terms of features as well. Sneakers are athletic shoes, but now a day they are used as casual wear. Similarly, cross trainers are also multipurpose, but their sole is heavy as compared to other shoes. Running shoes are lighter in weight and provide support to the runners. Tennis shoes are slimmer in shape and their sole is also very thin. Crosse trainers have thick padding, while tennis shoes have thin padding.
