What is the Difference between Evaporative Cooler Air Conditioner Dehumidifier
Summer season becomes a source of relief in cold countries, but it is really gives tough time in hot countries. In hot countries, to avoid the intensity of heat and keep them save from warm air, people adopt various appliances. Evaporative Cooler, Air Conditioner and Dehumidifier are the names of some home appliances and cooling devices that are frequently used in summer season to reduce the temperature of rooms up to desirable extent. Here are some differences between these cooling air devices.
Evaporative Cooler
Evaporative Cooler is a cooling device that is used to lower the temperature of room area by means of moist air and works on the principle of evaporation. A water source is essential for working of Evaporative cooler and it is used in hot areas, where humidity level is low.
Air Conditioner
Air Conditioner is also frequently using home appliance for reducing the temperature of a room area by means of extracting hot air and dehumidification. It works on the principle of absorption refrigeration cycle. It is used in the area having hot but humid climate. It does not require water source for working.
Dehumidifier
Dehumidifier is also a home appliance that is used to decrease the humidity level in air. This cooling device is used mostly for health purpose to avoid the chances of growing mold or mildew within the home due to moist area. It also works on the refrigeration principle.
Evaporative Cooler vs Air Conditioner vs Dehumidifier
Evaporative Cooler cools the air by lowering the temperature of dry air by throwing moist air in contrast to air conditioner and dehumidifier that extract the moist air. Similarly, the principle of evaporator cooler is evaporation, but air conditioner and dehumidifier works on refrigeration principle. Moreover, evaporative cooler is best for hot and dry climate in contrast to air conditioner that works ideally in hot and humid climate. However, both Evaporative Coolers and Air Conditioners are used as home appliances. However, dehumidifier is frequently used on industrial level as well.
