There are many chemical compounds having different properties. They are mixed together to get various chemical substances. Some of these chemical compounds can be used for cleaning purposes. Chemical compound like soaps, detergents, shampoo and surfactants are used for such cleaning proposes. Look on the difference between them.
Sanitizers
A sanitizer is basically an alternate of hand wash with soap and water. There maybe different active ingredient in a sanitizer like ethanol, propanol, n-propanol or povidone-iodine.
Soap
Soap is produced by reaction of an alkali with a fatty acid. It is used for hand washing and to wash cloths. Soap is made from animal fats or vegetable oil.
Detergent
Detergent belongs to a family of compound alkalibenzenesulphonates. They are also used for cleaning purposes. They are like soap but less affected by hard water.
Disinfectants
A disinfectant is a substance used to kill micro organisms from any object. They are usually used for non-living objects.
Surfactants
A surfactant is used or acts as a foaming agent or wetting agents. They lower the tension between liquid and solid or liquid.
Shampoo
It is a specific product for hairs to remove dust, dirt, oils, dandruff and skin particles which can damage the hairs.

The difference between sanitizer and soap is an alternate for hand washing having chemicals agents in composition. While soap is made from animal fats and is used for cleaning of cloths and other cleaning purposes. Difference between detergent and disinfectants is, a detergent is like a soap and used for cleaning of different objects, while a disinfectant is only used for non-living object to kill micro organisms. A surfactant is usually used as wetting agent while shampoo is a specific product for removal of impurities from hair.
