What is the Difference between Green Card, Citizenship and Permanent Residency
The world has been divided into continents and these continents have many countries. This division helps to run the administration efficiently and also to provide better facility to the people of the country. Every country has different resources and they trade it with other countries to get the other products which are scarce in their region. Humans always search for good opportunities for their better future. In order to do so they migrate to other countries with better job opportunities so the countries control their population by this migration by allotting the citizenship to their own citizens and then adjusting the rest of the people. Here are few terms which are most commonly used and are confused with each other.
Green Card
Green card is referred to the card which allows a person to live in the United States permanently and can work there as well. It is issued by the immigration department and the holder of this card becomes a citizen of United States.
Citizenship
This term is referred to being a citizen of a political or some national or human resource community. It is a social contract which has responsibilities as well as the citizen has some rights also. The citizens are the basic units of a city.
Permanent Residency
Permanent residence is the Visa status of a particular person. A person is allowed to stay in a country or a region for the indefinite time period from which country he does not belong. Such a person is known as permanent resident.
Green Card Vs Citizenship Vs Permanent Residency
Green card is the permission to stay in U.S.A and a person having such card has the citizen of U.S. Citizen ship is referred to the rights and obligations that a person has naturally due to living in a country while Permanent residency is the Visa status of a person according to which he can live in a country for indefinite time.
