What is the Difference between Spoof, Pastiche, Irony, Parody and Satire
There are various terms used in our society, which are not very clear to everyone, but people use them frequently in daily life. Terms like spoof, pastiche, irony, parody and satire are the examples of these commonly using terms. They terms look like same, but are different from each other in their real meanings. Let’s have a look on difference between all of these terms.
Spoof
It is a term used in field of networking. Generally it is used for a technique in which it describes, that there are many ways to make a software or hardware fool. E-mail spoofing is also very popular term.
Pastiche
It is defined in two different ways. It is defined as a homage which is accomplished by an imitation.
Irony
It is a term used to describe or indicate the meaning of word, which are opposite of that word infect. It is indicated by characters.
Parody
It is defined as a humorous imitation of a very serious type of writing or literature. It is a very funny type of thing.
Satire
It is a term used in literature or arts. It is used to make fun and ridicule of human voice or any weakness. It is performed by characters.

The difference between spoof and pastiche is that, spoof is a technique used to make a software or hardware fool. It is usually used in field of computer. While pastiche is a homage which is accomplished by an imitation. The difference between irony and parody is, irony is a technique used to indicate the meaning of a word which is not the actual meaning of that word. While a parody is an imitation or act which is humorous acts of a serious literature. While satire is an literature term used to make fun of human voice or weakness.
