What is the Difference between Affect and Effect
There might be any person, who does not know this fact that “affect” and “effect” have two different meanings in English language. However, only a few people know the correct use of affect and effect according to situation and grammar requirement. Normally, people remain confuse about usage of these two words in an English sentence because of their similar pronunciation. Here is an accurate difference between affect and effect.
Affect
This English word falls in the category of verb. Affect means to change or alter the situation or state of anything under the influence of any other factor. It means, if we want to express the influence of anything, which has brought about some change either positive or negative, it is affect. We can understand it with the example like “Fluctuation in GDP always affects the economy of a country”.
Effect
This almost similar word of affect in respect of pronunciation is entirely different in meanings. We take this English word as a noun. Normally, we use the word “effect” to express the ultimate impact or result of anything. The example “Effect of GDP fluctuation is not ignorable for economy of a country” is enough to clear the concept of word “effect”.
Affect vs Effect
No doubt, both words “affect and effect” are parts of speech in respect of noun and verb. However, there is a crystal clear difference between them. The major difference between affect and effect is obviously their different meanings. Similarly, we cannot interchange these two words in an English sentence. If we will do this, we will change the sense of a sentence and any other person will not understand this sentence at all. Actually, it is very important to understand the individual concepts of these two words in our daily life. Otherwise, there are lots of chances to destroy any sentence of English in terms of meaning as well as sense.
