What is the Difference between Upload and Download
Today, world has become a global village, thanks to internet. However, the question is that, what is the secret behind this? Actually, this is the sharing of data, either in written form or some sort of pictures and videos. Now, it has become very easy to transfer the data from place to another or from one person to other with the help of uploading and downloading. These to widely using terms in data transferring are not alike. There is a clear difference between these two terms, which is described in following lines.
Upload
Upload means to transfer the files, containing written documents, pictures or videos from a personal computer to internet or server. The aim behind uploading is nothing else than sharing the data. Uploading could be due to some personal reasons or some professional need. Today, there are many social networking sites, which have make this task very easy and people feel free to upload any information for the knowledge of other ones. This thing has played a vital role for making the world a global village.
Download
Download means to access any data or information from internet and save it on a personal computer. After downloading, you can change the contents of a material, as it your property now. At present, you have no need to purchase some common software from market as you can download them at your own computer. Some sites offer common soft wares just free of cost, while some demand charges, especially for costly softwares.
Upload vs Download
The obvious difference between upload and download is the route of transferring data. In case of upload, the route of data transfer is from internet to personal computer in contrast to download, in which this route is just reverse or opposite. Similarly, for uploading, there must be a space available on that site, at which you want to transfer your data. On the other hand, for downloading, this space is required at your hard disk of personal computer.
