What is the Difference between Pppoe, Direct Ip, Static Ip and Dynamic Ip
IP address, as you know, is a special address that is assigned to each individual computer in a network. However, IP address for each individual computer is different from each other. The purpose of separate IP address is recognition of individual computers, working in the same network. Pppoe, Direct Ip, Static Ip and Dynamic Ip are the names of some different types of IP addresses that are described below.
PPPoE
PPPoE or Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet is the name of a network protocol that connects many computer users to a remote site under the Ethernet Local Area Network. Sharing of DSL cable in an office area is and summarizing PPP frames into Ethernet frames are also features of PPPoE.
Direct IP
Direct IP indicates that individual machine or computer that is unable to execute internet enabler. These are the network topology causes that establish individual protocols to make direst IP.
Static IP
Static IP is the enduring address on internet, allotted by ISP (Internet Service Provider) to any particular computer. By means of Static IP, we can locate different computers at internet that are working at the same time.
Dynamic IP
Dynamic IP is also a address that is also allotted to any computer, during working at internet. However, this address could be different for the same computer at each log on that is essentially depends upon service provided by ISP.
Pppoe vs Direct IPvs Static IP vs Dynamic IP
No doubt, all Pppoe, Direct Ip, Static Ip and Dynamic Ip are the address that is allotted to computers during working at internet for their recognition. However, in case of PPPoE, we can locate and talk with lots of computers thanks to connectivity provided by PPPoE in contrast to direct IP that is do not allow connectivity of lots of computers and allot individual protocols to each computers. Similarly, static IP address of a user remains same in contrast to dynamic IP that could be different for the same computer after each log off.
