What is the Difference between Facebook Page and Group
Social websites are becoming popular day by day. People share their status, videos, audios and all they want to share with their friends and family. They got new friends and keep in touch with their old fellows. Many social websites are popular but Facebook is more commonly used. It is difficult to find an internet user without a Facebook account. Not just people but companies are also making Facebook accounts, for the promotion of their business. It’s really important to understand all the details of this, no matter for what you want to use this social media website. However, very few people know the difference between a Facebook page and a Facebook group. They both are different from each other in many respects. Here we are describing the difference between them.
Facebook pages
When a business, organization or a celebrity wants to make an appearance through Facebook, he creates his Facebook page. They are not like the profile, which is private. They are visible for the public by default. Everyone can connect to these pages by just becoming a fan. Fans can get the regular updates and can interact with the organization. However, pages should belong to real people and organizations. Only officials of organizations should create these pages. The Facebook team keeps an eye on pages to validate the authenticity of these pages. If someone files a complaint about a fake page the team investigates to remove this page. One can remove himself from the fan page and stop getting updates.
Facebook groups
People with common interests create groups, to express their mutual opinion and share their ideas with each other. People supporting a common cause or organization can also create these groups. They have just the related content and interested people join them. Creator of the group decides to make it public or keep it limited to members only. The group can be on anything, political views, music or a social problem.
Facebook Page vs Facebook Group
Facebook is a social website and a large number of pages and groups exist there, but they are different. A Facebook page is created by the original people, like the celebrity of the organization. On the other hand group can be created by anyone. The original Facebook page for a celebrity will be created by him, but his many friends can create groups, discussing his work and other aspects of life. One can remove himself from a page. Pages can host applications but groups cannot.
