What is the Difference between Vitamin D and Vitamin D3
If cells are the bricks then vitamins are the cement for body. The need of vitamins of all types is so essential for the body that, if body lacks any one of them, it stops functioning properly and results in destruction of even major elements necessary for life. Vitamin D is one such element that is needed for the functioning of body. It has different types two of which are D2 and D3. Vitamin D is not really a vitamin but more a hormone.
Vitamin D
Vitamin D can be taken from fruits, particularly from oranges, and cereals. It is called Ergocalciferol. It can be taken from two sources from plants, of from animals. Vitamin D regulates the phosphorus and calcium in the body. The vitamin D can be harmful for the body when it is taken in the form of medicine. It divided itself into different parts. Some of these elements can be very harmful for the body.
Vitamin D3
The primary source of Vitamin D3 is the sun light. The body gets the D3 by decomposing it inside the body. It can also be taken from animals. The animal’s skin have this vitamin, lamb wool is famous for this vitamin. The vitamin D3 is not harmful for body but even then it should not be taken without doctor’s supervision. Unlike vitamin D it is not added into foods, but its separate intake is available in forms of pills or liquid. It is also called cholecalciferol.
Vitamin D and Vitamin D3
Vitamin D comes from two sources, the animal and plants where as the vitamin D3 comes from sun light and animals. Vitamin D is dangerous if not taken appropriately where as vitamin D3 is good for health. Vitamin D is added into the food where as vitamin D3 has to be taken in pills or liquids.
