What is the Difference between Baker, Cook and Chef
Making food in best quality and with delicious taste is definitely an art and not all the people know the art. Only some people know perfectly that how to prepare meal or to cook anything else. Food is available in different varieties and it is very difficult to get expertise in all types of foods. However, the person who knows many dishes to prepare are called baker, cook or chef. Baker
A baker is a person, either male or female, who has expertise in making bakery items. In short, a person who knows well the making procedure of cakes, bread or pastries is called baker.
Cook
Cook is simply a person that prepares food in routine manner, but does not have any degree, certificate or professional experience in food making. He/she can cook the food only in traditional way and normally has not sufficient knowledge about latest dishes.
Chef
A chef is a person, who not attends cooking classes, but also has some certificate or diploma along with professional experience in food making. He can prepare traditional and continental food dishes and has knowledge of evolution of new dishes.
Baker vs Cook vs Chef
A baker is a clearly different term than a cook and chef. The reason is that, the field of a baker is only making dishes by baking manner especially bakery products like cakes and pastries. However, a cook could be any person, who knows about making of food in traditional way, but not at professional level in contrast to a baker, who is professional food maker always and has qualification in food making courses.
