What is the Difference between Software Engineering and Computer Science
It is tough to describe the importance of computer in our daily life because of its vast use in every field of life. It is matter of fact that all the development and progress of modern era was impossible without the help of computer. However, there are different fields of computer and every field covers different aspects of computer related work. Among these fields, two most common fields of study are software engineering and computer science. Here is a difference between them.
Software Engineering
Software Engineering is that particular branch of computer –based study that deals with creation, designing and execution of software for any specified or assigned purpose. There are further sub-branches of this field like testing of software, architecture of software and deployment of software. Mostly, formation of software is a team-based work.
Computer Science
Computer science covers a wide area of computer field like from basic concepts to high-tech techniques involved to extract any useful work from computer. Here, you learn from hardware to programming of various computer languages and all about use of an operating system to run a computer successfully.
Software Engineering vs Computer Science
No doubt, both software engineering and computer science are the computer-based fields, but having crystal clear difference between them. In case of computer science, we do research and try to analyze the problems that could make our computer work easier or harder, starting from hardware to use of software as well as operating system. Mostly, computer science is a sole person job and one can handle all its aspects individually. On the other hand, software engineering is a team-based job and only deals with development and application of proper software in a defined field.
