What is the Difference between Promeris, Advantage, Advantix and Frontline
The trend of keeping pets like dogs, cats etc is highly common in all over the world. The situation becomes very tense, when we found fleas on our pet animals. There are several popular topical flea control products on the market. Today, all of which differ slightly in terms of ingredients they contain. Similarities include topical application, monthly administration and bathing resistant qualities. To make your shopping experience a little easier we've prepared some brief profiles and at a glance comparisons for you on Promeris, Advantage, Advantix and frontline.
Promeris
Promeris is a flea and tick control product for pets like dogs and cats. It includes a new ingredient Metaflumizone. Moreover, it controls, it works against the flea in a different mode of action that is entirely new.
Advantage
Advantage is a flea control product with imidacloprid that is used to kill both larvae and adult fleas on dogs and cats. It fends off fleas from biting and kills fleas at all developing stages including larvae and adult.
Advantix
An advanced version of “Advantage” is “Advantix” that is more suitable for dogs, but unsuitable for cats due to a harmful ingredient for them. It has ability to kill fleas at stages. Furthermore, it controls, repels and kills the ticks as well as mosquitoes.
Frontline
Frontline is also an affective name for flea and tick control in pets like dogs and cats. It includes Fipronil and S-methoprene to kill fleas and ticks at all stages including eggs, larvae and adults. it is also affective for chewing lice.
Promeris vs Advantage vs Advantix vs Frontline
All these flea control products are affective for both dogs and cats except “Advantix” that is for dogs only. Similarly, “Advantage” is ineffective for controlling ticks rather than remaining three that are equally affective for ticks. In terms of Mosquito control, only “Advantix” is helpful nothing else.
