What is the Difference between Constipation Loose Stool Diarrhea and Dysentery
The diseases of intestine appear mostly due to digestion problems, but it is not compulsory always. Sometimes, stomach problem or reaction of some other disease becomes the cause of intestine problems. Here are some very common names of such intestine related problems like Constipation, Loose Stool, Diarrhea and Dysentery. Lets’ see the difference between them.
Constipation
Constipation means irregular or painful defection. In this intestine related disease, normal transit of stool or gas through anus becomes difficult. In extreme cases, constipation becomes obstipation that means failure of passing stool or gas.
Loose Stool
Loose stool that is clear from its name is the intestine problem with non-solid or liquid bowl movement and has very less duration. The reason could be diarrhea or some other disease.
Diarrhea
Diarrhea that is one of the deadly diseases especially in developing countries, is defined as; when a person have at least three or even more loose stools per day, he or she is affected from diarrhea.
Dysentery
Dysentery is a severe intestine disease that causes inflammatory disorder. Usually, this disease leads towards diarrhea and with faeces containing blood and mucus. Fever and abdominal pain are also some symptoms of this disease. In case of carelessness, this could be a deadly disease.
Constipation vs Loose Stool vs Diarrhea vs Dysentery
Constipation is somewhat different than other three diseases called Loose Stool Diarrhea and Dysentery. In fact, it is an irregular or hard bowl movement and one of the basic diseases that become the cause of many other diseases afterwards. The opposite to it is loose stool that is frequent and liquid form stool with abnormal number of times. Diarrhea is one of the key reasons behind these loose stools. On the other hand, dysentery is inflammatory disease of intestine that is one of causes for being affected from diarrhea and could be dangerous in case of leaving untreated.
