What is the Difference between Incas, Mayans and Aztecs
North America is a vast and historic land. It is home of many ancient cultures and civilizations. Now a day, it is symbol of modernism and development but it has a rich historic past as well. Incas, Mayans and Aztecs are some old American civilizations. Some people often confuse them with each other. They are quite different from each other and all three have different characteristics. Here we are describing brief difference between them.
Incas
The place, known as Peru today, was the home of the people of this tribe. It was the largest empire in 13th century. This was an agricultural civilization, which was known for their well developed irrigation system. According to historic books, they have a planned and extensive irrigation system, which was unique at that time. We can find paintings made by these people, although, there was no written language used by Incas.
Mayans
The Mayans are the people, which had a well developed written language in ancient American period. They are known for the advancement in art, architecture and other scientific fields. The concept of absolute zero is developed by Mayans, initially. Moreover, they are also called as founders of telepathy. Human sacrifice was another ritual in Maya civilization.
Aztecs
Mexico was the home of this civilization. This was the rich and wealthy state with advanced methods of agriculture. They were used to play games. Aztecs used cocoa beans and cotton as currency, to buy goods and services. Poetry and drama was a distinctive feature of this civilization.
Incas vs Mayans vs Aztecs
All these are different ancient American civilization, usually called as pre Colombian American civilizations. Maya is the older one, while Incas and Aztecs come into power, later. All these were agricultural civilizations but Incas were more advanced. Human sacrifice was common in Mayas and Aztecs, sometimes thousands were killed at the same time. Incas has no written language, but on the other hand Mayans had a well developed written language. Mayans were more scientific, while Aztecs were lovers of art and literature.
