What is the Difference between Occupation Position Profession Job and Career

Every person needs money to spend his life in well manner and to earn money; he does work in different ways. Occupation, Position, Profession, Job and Career are the names of different ways in which a person can earn money. Usually, we take the meaning of all these form just in similar manner. However, there are some key differences between these terms that are unveiled here.

Occupation

Occupation is a broader term that could be either a job or a business as well. However, the ultimate aim of any type of occupation is not other than earning money that could be on daily basis or monthly basis.

Position

Position is the post of any person, in which he or she does its duties. In case of doing job or even running a business, every person does work in a particular position that is normally called designation of that person.

Profession

Profession is the nature of job or business that a person does for earning money. The word profession is typically used for describing the detailed description or type of job.

Job

Job is the activity that is being done for earning money. it is daily base activity with bound timing, rules and fixed salary. The person, who does any job, is called employee.

Career

The career is a long term opportunity of building skills in a particular business field or any specific job by means of getting sufficient knowledge as well as experience.

Occupation means, the nature of work or job that a person does for getting money on regular basis. On the other hand, position is the post pr designation in which a person does his job. Profession is nothing, but the nature of work or job. Job is the routine work done for earning money in the form of salary, while, career is long term theme-based journey towards raising the skill as well as money.
