Reindeer
Reindeer belong to class Mammalia and lie in the family and genus Cervidae as well as Ragifer respectively. Reindeers are popular for their antlers. Among all other mammals, only reindeer can see UV light. There are two groups of reindeers known as Tundra Reindeer and Woodland Reindeer.
Stag
Stag is same as deer, but a typical name for adult male deer.
Caribou
Caribou is sub specie of reindeer that is present is North America, Asia, Europe and Greenland. This animal is famous for its world’s largest animal migration during summer season towards north that spans almost 1000 kilometers.
Moose
Moose is the largest known specie of Cervidae family and belong to genus “Alces”. The distinguishing feature of this animal from its other family members is palmate and twig-like antlers on male and female moose respectively.
Elk
The inhabitant of North America and Eastern Asia, Elk is ranked number third in terms of largest deer specie, among all the members of Cervidae family. It belongs to genus Cervus. It has much resemblance with red deer.
Deer
Deer is the animal that forms the Cervidae family. Except a few species, all the subspecies of deer have specialty of growing and shedding new antlers every year and the number of alive species of deer are 62.
