What is the Difference between HTML, DHTML, HTML4, XHTML and HTML5
The invention of computer is called invention of the century. Facility of internet has globalized the world and has made it easy to contact any person, anywhere in the world at any time. It has removed the distances and boundaries between countries. Nowadays people enjoy live online telecasts in their home from thousands of miles away. Internet also has a specific language through which it communicates. The web browsers translate this internet language into visible or audible language which we can understand. Here we are going to discuss few differences about different internet languages which seem similar but in reality they all are quite different.
HTML
It is a basic internet language which is used to embed contents and images on web pages. It is the basic building block of a web page and it is not wrong to say that it is the base of internet system.
DHTML
It is a collection of the internet languages which is used to form web pages and to add different animations in it. It is broader concept than internet languages. It is combination of these languages by the help of which web pages are made for individual use.
XHTML
It is the extended version of the HTML language. It makes the internet language more extensive and compatible. It has a simple data format which made it more vital part of internet languages.
HTML4
It is the application of the system of internet languages. It is the standard version of HTML series. It is the latest functioning language till now.
HTML5
It is the dual core internet language which is in progress and claims to solve all the problems encountered with HTML4. It is believed to be more compatible than XHTML or HTML4.
HTML Vs DHTML Vs XHTML Vs HTML4 Vs HTML5
HTML is the basic version of internet languages while HTML4 and HTML5 are the latest version in which HTML4 is functional and stable. DHTML is a combination of these languages used to animate web pages while XHTML is the advance form of HTML which is more extensive and compatible than HTML format.
