What is the Difference between Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science
Nothing could be more important than education in a person. Without getting education, no one can become a useful person as well as a part of our civilized society. Getting education is not the matter of one or two years, but a complete educational set up with step-by-step raising standards is the name of education. Bachelor degree is also a part of this long chain. In different countries or according to nature of degree, a bachelor is considered as 14 years education or 16 years education. Moreover, there is further subdivision of bachelor degree in two fields that are Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science. To elaborate the difference between these two subdivisions of bachelor degree, here is a detailed description.
Bachelor of Arts
A first standard degree at university level that that is related to humanities subjects is called BA or Bachelor of Arts. The scope of BA degree is very broad, but in humanities field only. Normally, this study is based upon general knowledge as well as theoretical study, as there is negligible practical work in Bachelor of Arts.
Bachelor of Science
A university level first standard degree that is related to science subjects is known as B.Sc. or Bachelor of Science. The base of Bachelor of Science is math, technical knowledge, computer skill, liberal arts and especially practical demonstration of scientific aspects.
Bachelor of Arts vs Bachelor of Science
The simple difference is that Bachelor of Science is given to those who are in the science fields i.e. Physics, Astronomy, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Molecular Biology, etc. On the other side, Bachelor of Arts is given to more liberal arts fields, such as Criminal Justice, Political Science, English, any language, Education, Social Studies, Business, etc. Moreover, the difference is that B.Sc. has a few more required mathematics courses whereas the B.A. tends to focus on someone who is more well-rounded.
