Lie

Lay
Lay is also a verb that means to give out. Mostly lay is used for the birds who lay eggs. Lay is also used for devising something like laying down a plan or idea for its practical implications. Thus lay means to give out something.
Lye
Lye is neither a verb nor a noun, nor is it used in grammar anyway. It is a chemical called sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide. This chemical is found in many household complex compounds as a component. It dissolves fat and other sticky materials very fast and is a dangerous product.

Lie and lay are verbs that have a specific meaning and can be used in past present and future sentences by changing their forms. Lie means to give out false statement.
