What is the Difference between Redhat, Suse, Debian, Centos, Fedora and Ubuntu
There are different operating systems with different applications for the needs of different users. Linux also has variety of operating systems. There operating systems may look the same as per their general use but they are different for the users who want to run different programs and applications according to their needs. This article is about the six of the many linux operating systems, redhat, suse, debian, centos, fedora and ubuntu.
Redhat
Redhat is the operating system from linux which is liked for its ease of use and academically correct and pure in nature. It is pure in the sense that it always receives the new packages and version if compared with other linux versions.
Debian
Debian is called universal operating system. It is a software developed by GNU/linux with free and open applications and software. Its license is open and called general public license, hence it earned the name universal operating system.
Suse
Suse linux is the operating system from linux. It is built on open source kernel and is offered for open source project. Its origin is from Europe, Germany.
Centos
Centos is a linux operating software which is created on the basis of red hat operating system. It is the most popular operating system of linux and almost 30 percent of the users worldwide use it for the server uses.
Fedora
Fedora is also an open source operating software from linux. It is very experimental in nature and better for those users who like to work and explore.
Ubuntu
Ubuntu is the linux operating system with user friendliness as a particular feature. It offers both proprietary and un- proprietary stuff unlike fedora and red hate.
Redhat vs Suse vs Debian vs Centos vs Fedora vs Ubuntu
These are all linux products that are open source and with general public license. But when it comes to extensive use, they offer different deals of applications. Some of them are good for the users who need some experimentation and programming like red hat fedora etc while centos is a red hat based product which offers some addition in the features of red hat.
