What is the Difference between Wakeboarding, Skating, Skiing And Snowboarding
Different kind of sports activities are famous all around the world. Some of them are traditional like cricket, hockey and football while others are more exciting and adventurous. Wake boarding, skating and skiing are few thrilling games, but many people consider them just the same. Here we are discussing difference between them.
Wakeboarding
This is mixture of many water sports. Rider is towed behind the motor boat and he rides on the surface of water. Typically the motorboat travels at the speed of 17 to 24 miles per hour. Many other things matter in this water sport like weight of rider, water condition and board size.
Skating
Road skating, roller skating and ice skating are few famous types of skating. Roller skating is the most common one. Travelling on smooth surfaces with roller skates is called as roller skating. This is very popular among young kids.
Skiing
Skiing is a way of travelling over snow. Skis stripes are tied one the feet of traveler. Two famous types of skiing are Nordic skiing and Alpine skiing.
Snowboarding
This snow sport is similar to skiing. A snow board is attached with the rider’s feet, and special boots are used for this purpose. This is a combination of skateboarding, skiing and surfing.
Wakeboarding vs Skating vs Skiing vs Snowboarding
All these are exciting and thrilling sports, which attract young people. Wakeboarding is travelling on surface of water on a special board, while rider is attached with a motorboat. Skating has many further types, but skating is basically travelling on smooth surface on roller skates. Skiing and snowboarding are travelling on snow. Skis are attached with traveler feet directly, while snowboarding is travelling on snow on a board wearing specific boots. Slop is very important for skiing and snowboarding.
